We have baby chicks! We have been incubating eggs and we now have 5 chicks, in a brooder, for the residents and families to enjoy. They will be in the brooder for a few weeks until they are feathered and ready to go in a coop. The photos say a thousand words about how much we are enjoying watching them! What a fun treat!

We have started a new program, here at Renaissance, called “Taking It Up A Notch”. We are honoring our employees who go the extra mile for our residents and co-workers. We strive to give the best care and be the best team in the business and this program helps showcase those who do a little extra to make Renaissance the best skilled nursing facility.

Yesterday, Julie, from our business office awarded Holly, from medical records, for her extra help in sorting resident paperwork. Holly received a pin that says “I took it up a notch.” Watch for our staff members wearing these pins and know they have gone the extra mile for someone else in our building. Congrats, Holly! Thank you for Taking It Up A Notch and being a great team player!

The staff were all so kind. The therapy group was second to none. They didn’t let me get away with anything but they are the reason I’m able to go home today. We are happy to support the Humane Society of Fulton County Illinois, with this gorgeous tulip basket with scratch-off lottery tickets, for their fundraiser tomorrow night. If you are attending the event, look for our basket and donate generously to help all the cats and dogs that rely on this facility. If you aren’t attending, please consider making a cash donation to them. 🐈🐕‍🦺

Our Adminstrator, Marty, was on vacation last week so we pulled a delayed April Fools prank on her this morning. Our administrative team had an “Anything but a cup” day today during our morning meeting. It took her 7 minutes to realize we were drinking out of our unconventional “cups”. We like to have fun at work. 😂
