🍂 Fall Fest Recap! 🍂

This past Friday, we celebrated Fall Fest @ TWi West with over 230 staff and participants in attendance from all of our day programs!

We enjoyed:
🍗 A delicious catered Chick-fil-A lunch
🎯 Tons of games and laughter
🍧 Sweet treats from Kona Ice
💦 And the highlight of the day… the dunk tank - featuring TWi staff taking the plunge!

This week, we’ve pulled out all the stops to celebrate the heart and soul of our organization - our incredible Direct Support Professionals! 💙

From sunrise to sunset, we’ve worked to ensure our DSPs feel the appreciation they deserve:
🍳 Morning breakfasts to kickstart their day
🥗 Delicious lunches to keep the energy flowing
🎁 Thoughtful gift bags packed with love
🎮 And an epic celebration at Dave & Buster’s where laughter, games, and good vibes took center stage!

Our DSPs go above and beyond every single day, and this week was all about showing them just how much they mean to us. Thank you for your compassion, dedication, and the difference you make in so many lives. You are truly the backbone of our mission!

Today, a group of folks we serve proudly participated in the Monument Park 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Held annually, this event honors and remembers those who lost their lives at the World Trade Center. 🇺🇸❤️

We are so proud of our Direct Support Professionals! This week, September 7-13, we’re celebrating them, their passion, and the work they do to support people with disabilities in our community.

On Friday, folks at West rolled up their sleeves and got creative in the kitchen! They helped prepare delicious smoothies and yogurt parfaits, learning all about the benefits of healthy ingredients along the way.

Folks also explored the difference between healthy and unhealthy foods through interactive discussions and activities. To make it even more engaging, participants created multisensory food plates featuring a variety of textures - from crunchy veggies to smooth fruits - making nutrition education both fun and meaningful!
