Protect yourself from Legionnaires' Disease this summer!

Legionnaires’ disease is caused by Legionella bacteria, which grow best in warm, stagnant water and spread through tiny water droplets or mist that people breathe in. Common home sources include hot tubs, showerheads, humidifiers, CPAP equipment, and plumbing that sits unused for long periods.

Baby animals are out and about this time of year, but “alone” doesn’t mean abandoned! 🐣

Wild parents often stay out of sight to protect their young. Taking a baby animal from the wild can do more harm than good and reduce its chances of survival.

🚫 Don’t rescue unless instructed by a professional

🚫 Never keep wild animals as pets

⚠️ Be aware: animals like raccoons, skunks, and bats can carry rabies

The best way to help wildlife is to leave them in the wild. 🌿
