Still not over Cowboy Carter night 2. Beyoncé gave us a spiritual experience disguised as a concert — a masterclass in reclamation, joy, and full permission to take up space. Had surgery yesterday to remove my gallbladder—aka the tiny organ that’s been gaslighting me for weeks. We’ve officially parted ways, and I’m now in the sacred phase of healing: naps, broth, and practicing what I preach about rest and listening to our bodies.

Pain is real, but so is the support I’ve felt. And in case you need the reminder: your body is not the enemy. It’s a wise communicator. Sometimes it whispers, sometimes it screams—but it always deserves your care.

Earth Day isn’t just about reusable bags and recycling bins—it’s about relationship.

As a mixed-Indigenous, white-presenting therapist, I’ve had to intentionally rebuild my connection with the land and lineage. That process has been humbling, healing, and deeply human.

In therapy and in life, I believe reconnection—with self, others, and the Earth—is sacred work. Whether you’re planting a seed, sitting under a tree, or simply remembering that the ground holds you… that’s healing.

Therapy should meet you where you’re at, not the other way around. 🖤

Shoutout to for inspiring me to share this: You don’t have to “perform” wellness in therapy. You don’t have to push through discomfort just to do it “right.” You’re allowed to show up exactly as you are—tired, unfiltered, fidgety, uncertain. However you need to exist in session is valid.

If therapy has ever felt like just another place where you have to mask, over-explain, or shrink yourself… that’s not therapy built for you.

Let’s make it different.
