Our Story
South Fulton Counseling and Consulting has acted as a liaison connecting individuals to resources within the larger cities. South Fulton is a farming community nestled within several small villages. Most individuals are not aware of the resources available to them. These resources serve the Fulton County area, however they are an hour to an hour and a half drive. The population that we serve do not have the means or transportation to get to these offices. It is our goal to bring these resources to the individual.
We serve individuals of all ages. We have three strong programs, Grow Strong supports individuals who are overcoming obstacles in their lives such as housing, budgeting, resume, skill building, employment and if needed provides a Job Coach. South Fulton Counseling and Consulting (S.F.C.C.) has assisted over 200 individuals with either remaining in their homes or finding permanent housing. We opened our doors August 5, 2013. Our Grow Strong Program consist of three End homelessness Plans. Eviction Prevention aids people who live in HUD apartments that have been placed on an eviction list due to violation of housing codes. Our case-managers work with the housing managers and the individuals to clean up their homes and get them through their inspections. S.F.C.C. Transitional Housing provides housing for both men and women who are homeless and in need of permanent housing. We have two units which house 3 men and the other is for women and their children. It is a thirty day program, however most HUD housing have a waiting, we re-evaluate each month. Lastly our rent assistance program helps individuals who are on verge of eviction due to failure to pay their rent. We help build or polish resumes and search for employment. Our last program is our Christmas Baskets. We deliver 85 Christmas Baskets and Christmas Presents to families throughout Fulton County. What we offer sets us apart from our competitors. We treat the whole individual and bring the resources to them.
Our staff has several years of experience in working in all these areas and has personal relationship with the agencies that we plan on contracting with. We look forward to serving the public in any way we can by connecting communities for a better tomorrow!
