We partnered with the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy and the Impact Center for Pharmacy Transformation to share important information on cardiovascular wellness and the power of knowing your numbers. Together, we’re strengthening our communities through education and collaboration.

Our Executive Leadership Team was proud to represent G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center at the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) Policy & Issues Forum in Washington, D.C.

Our team has been fully engaged, advocating, learning, collaborating, and strengthening partnerships that will help us continue delivering high-quality, accessible care across Mississippi. We are especially proud that Dr. James L. Coleman, Jr. hosted a Divine Nine Special Interest Meeting titled: “Advancing Health Access Through Service and Partnership.” This powerful discussion highlighted the role of service organizations and strategic partnerships in expanding health services and advancing access to care in underserved communities.

G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center is truly grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Youth Symposium in partnership with United Way of the Capital Area.

We are honored to have been included in such a meaningful event that brought together dynamic voices like Mr. Bloodsaw, Dr. Holloway, NP Lee, Mr. Thomas, Mr. Thornton, and Mr. Allen, leaders who poured wisdom, encouragement, and real-life guidance into our youth.

During our Preventive Health Session, the G.A. Carmichael team spoke directly to the students and provided educational materials, resources, and on-site services with an emphasis on sexual health awareness and prevention. Our team offered resources on thr following:

• Jackson Heart Study - CEC
• School-Based Health
• Behavioral Health
• MQHC
• PrEP & Ending HIV

February is American Heart Month, and today G.A. Carmichael proudly joins the nation in recognizing National Wear Red Day. The first Friday in February is a reminder to come together, wear red, and raise awareness for heart health.

Our incredible staff across all five G.A. Carmichael sites showed up in red today, standing united in support of heart health and the well-being of our communities.

Kendall spoke with students training to become certified medical assistants and phlebotomists, sharing his personal journey as a CMA and how G.A. Carmichael impacted his career.
