✨ What is John F. Barnes Myofascial Release? ✨
At Grounded Grace Pelvic Health, we use John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR) — a gentle, hands-on therapy that addresses the body as a whole, not just isolated symptoms.
Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, nerve, organ, and bone. When it becomes restricted due to injury, surgery, inflammation, stress, or trauma, it can create pain, tightness, and dysfunction anywhere in the body. Myofascial Release works by applying sustained, gentle pressure to release these restrictions and restore mobility, balance, and healing.
🌿 What can Myofascial Release help with?
• Pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction
• Urinary urgency, frequency, and incontinence
• Pain with intimacy
• Low back, hip, tailbone, and SI joint pain
• Neck, shoulder, and spine pain
• Scar tissue from C-sections, hysterectomies, or other surgeries
• Endometriosis-related pain
• Postpartum and perimenopausal symptoms
• Chronic pain that hasn’t responded to traditional treatments
✨ Why it’s different
Unlike quick or forceful techniques, John F. Barnes Myofascial Release is slow and intentional, allowing the nervous system to calm and the tissue to truly release. This often leads to deeper, longer-lasting results — especially for chronic or complex conditions.
At Grounded Grace Pelvic Health, we believe healing happens when the body feels safe, supported, and heard. Myofascial Release allows us to meet your body where it is and help it move toward lasting relief and improved function.
💛 You don’t have to live with pain or dysfunction.
Healing is possible.
