Thank You Kate (Chris and team) for the invitation to join the business school of Stagg for a day of Mentoring. Was a wonderful time using my years in IT Professional Services and Software and my degree in Human Communication to help prepare and actually land jobs, degrees and for several grow themselves professionally through my experience, but also in reflection back in sharing what I saw in them, hope and constant curiosity!
Our young adults need and want mentoring but don't always know how to ask. When we got the phones down, looked in each other's eyes, and I could share what I did see (nice resume preparation), the hope they had was ten fold transformational.
I encourage everyone to attend a career fair, interview, mentor, and practice this. I've been in the professional Outsourcing and IT Consulting Services Space for over twenty years. In that time I've helped place people to sell and even work in IT Business Analysis Roles. Something I'd never dream I'd do. This is what happens when you can be flexible for change. I shared this with the mentee's assigned to me.
It was a lovely opportunity for me to help out and put hope in the future generations. Thanks for thinking of me, the once Music Ed Major, who loves helping others. That's always been my first passion above anything else.

I said it, I will do private music lessons. If you know someone seeking private voice or if nearby, theatre, acting but my favorite is to come on-site and teach voice and other fun stuff, let me know…

Otherwise, I’m opening up shop for my usual business analyst and project management role with a nice flavor of Scrum 😉

Colette and I just as she was hitting the stage as Pinocchio in Shrek. It’s extra special to me because I have found out my Step Daughter, Chloe , just finished her last High School musical and will be attending college at ECU as a Voice Major aka Music. From the oldest studying Art as her original major getting time at one of the neatest schools in Arlington, VA and traveling all over to learn her languages to my Middle step hitting music to watching once baby now trumpet playing, singing and theatre obsessed; so proud of you!!

Data Integrity and ALL things Elections....

Most Americans have an opinion on who to vote for. But then if you watch the numbers come in, sometimes taking forever, it can be low or later filled with stories of illegal voters, not getting ballots or people who were denied their right. What a mess!

I am pleased to be spending my consulting time deep in the trenches using knowledge and the power of data and process to improve and drive visibility in some threshold to all these areas of elections, ballot, voting and voter registration.

I look forward to more publications and an extension of my background focusing on this area of my consulting practice.

Its a very exciting time to take a heartfelt dream, a place of pain and crisis for others and put on a business perspective hat to see if there is a foundation for an abilityone program here in my community I may help lead.

The mission of VanDyke Consulting is to identify solutions that deliver answers which empower American people and government to meet their missions. In the case of voting, across the board there are continued massive issues. But our country stands proud our people have a voice, make a difference. But in the following example which can be seen in otherstates, cost and citizens didn't get to have the promise our country vowed to give. Citizens didn't get their vote to the right place in time, but they sent it. It isnt just a sad story, it is a waste of money, postage, paper and the labor of people used to print these when our country is struggling.

Here is a perfect example of what could be avoided.

Sample ballots will be dropped off this week. Officials expect they'll arrive before Election Day this time around.
