☀️ It’s gonna be hot out there! ☀️

☀️🍓 Keep Summer Picnics Safe and Fun! 🧺🍗
Warm weather is perfect for family picnics—but it also means we need to be extra careful with food safety!
Here are some simple tips to keep your picnic happy and healthy:
🥶 Keep it cool – Pack perishable foods in an insulated cooler with ice packs.
⏰ Watch the clock – Don’t leave food out for more than 2 hours (or 1 hour if it's 90°F or hotter).
🍔 Cook it right – Make sure meats are cooked to a safe internal temperature.
🧼 Wash hands and surfaces – Use hand sanitizer or wipes before and after handling food.
🧃 Bring plenty of water – Stay hydrated in the heat!

Keeping food safe keeps your family safe! ❤️

It's picnic season! As you enjoy the sun, great company and good food, keep the 2-hour rule in mind

🚨 Measles: It’s Not Just a Rash
Measles is highly contagious and can be dangerous, especially for babies and young children.
🩺 Know the symptoms:
• High fever (can spike over 104°F)
• Cough
• Runny nose
• Red, watery eyes
• Rash (usually appears 3–5 days after symptoms begin)

🤒 If you think your child has measles:
📞 Call your doctor right away.
Do NOT go directly to the clinic or ER without calling first — measles spreads easily. Your provider will guide you on what to do next to help keep others safe.

🚨 When to go to the emergency room:
If your child gets worse quickly or shows any of these signs, go to the ER immediately. Do not wait.
• Trouble breathing (or breathing faster than usual)
• Confusion, low alertness, or extreme weakness
• Blue lips or mouth, low energy, or trouble feeding (in babies/young children)
• Pain when breathing or coughing
• Persistent fever or headache
• Dehydration (dry mouth, few wet diapers, crying with no tears)

✅ You have the power to protect your child.
The MMR vaccine is safe, effective, and provides long-lasting protection against measles.

Talk to your healthcare provider today.
