Since Shane’s video this week many of you have texted, reached out, or called and asked about how you can help; and many of you have offered and wanted to bring us meals. As always we first ask for and appreciate and love your prayers. We found out this week that baby girl will make her appearance Aug 7th or very close to this date! With this being the case we ask that meals be donated in August to help us with the addition to our family as well as adjustments to Shane’s disease progression and medical care. SHANE UPDATE DAY 4

Today was a good day. Shane’s still handing the medicine like a champ and we finished all the training and math that goes with all this new medicine. Today we ate at this yummy joint called Texaxelphia. Kinda fitting since the Rangers played the Phillies today. Overall pretty good philly cheesesteak and fried pickles. Then for dinner we were surrounded by Astro fans eating at Pluckers. The wings were delecisios and massive. Also we get to come home TOMORROW!!!

Prayer Warriors
We are still praying this medicine works and his tumor completely shrinks and goes away.
Pray that Texas Oncology will help work with these doctors for labs, target therapy, and any other needs we have to keep us home.

SHANE UPDATE DAY 3

Today went super well!! Shane and I are becoming pros at setting up his pumps and are learning how to adjust them to our lifestyle. Shane is taking a whole blue bag a day now and by Sunday he will be on a full green bag as well. Meaning he will be getting the full dose of both meds. His labs were taken today and he’s handling the medicine with no issues! We got to eat our favorite burger today and go see the world’s best beaver. 🤣🦫

Pray Texas Oncology will work with us to get the target therapy we want as well!!

SHANE UPDATE DAY 2

Shane is now officially on both medicines he needs for the ANP treatment. He will now just up the dose on both meds everyday until he gets one full bag of each medicine everyday. He’s handling the treatment super well so far! Today he was able to go walk the mall(The Galleria) with me and go to one of our favorite restaurants (Pappadeaux’s) for dinner!! 🥰❤️

Prayer Warriors:
Pray Shane keeps handling these meds with no problems and so we can up the dose and get full treatment ASAP
Pray Texas Oncology will work with the doctors here and help us get Shane the targeted therapy they’re also recommending for him.
Pray this medicine works and the tumor completely disappears!!
Pray we can come home fully trained by Saturday because we miss our babies deeply!!
Pray also that we can come up with the rest of this funding for his treatment!

PS: I bought a man purse. “satchel” 😂 I got tired of toting around the lunch box all day and if I have 8 months of this then at least I can be stylin ha. So if you see me with my “man purse” just know it’s holding meds.

More on the ANP and targeted therapy.
ANP is in 2 meds called AS2 and A10. Not real sure what those mean yet. The targeted therapies they want me on in a few weeks are Avastin, Pazopanib, Dasatinib, and Everolimus. No idea what those are. Except Avastin is IV where the other 3 are oral.

SHANE UPDATE DAY 1

It’s been a busy and hectic day here in Houston. First we met with the doctor team at Burzynski and discovered that Shane’s tumor now has some activity. Then he got his port put in and got to have some yummy pizza from 1000 Degrees Pizza and Freebirds burritos. Finally he started the first of two daily medicines he will now be on administered by his pumps. He’s handling the medicine super well. Now due to this tumor activity he will need three other medicines for treatment and they are quite costly. One is through an IV and the other two are oral medications. Prayer Warriors we need you now more than ever. Pray we can get the funds for all of this treatment. Pray the treatment works and kills and stops the tumor that is active. Pray the treatment kills and shrinks the inactive part of the tumor. Pray Shane’s body can handle all this medicine and we can learn how to use these pumps quickly and get home to our babies. Pray for God to comfort us and ease the anxiety and stress that comes with all of this. We love you all. We have gotten tons of texts, calls, and messages and your support means the world to us. We will get back to you all as soon as we can! 💖

We made it to Houston safe and in the hotel. Off to Burzynski in the morning. Thanks everyone for your prayers on safe travels. There’s also a little movement going around. At 10:21 am or 10:21 pm people are placing alarms in their phones to remind them to pray at one of those times this week. 10:21 represents my birthday which is why it’s an odd number. Thank you all for the prayers and thank you all for stopping time in your busy days to pray specifically for me. Thank y‘all for the support as well! If you’re curious as to what specific prayers we could use then here are some. We’re praying that everything with the doctors goes smoothly this week and that we can adjust to the medication. We’re praying that God uses the medication to heal my body. We’re praying that God would remove my tumor completely from my brain. Whether that’s through this medication or supernaturally. We know He is capable of whatever is to be done and there are no boundaries. We’re praying for my doctors as well. Thank you all, we’ll be back with more updates this week.
