Focus Optical and Pet Boutique We are an independent optical dispensary with an onsite licensed dispensing optician. And pet stuff! We are like a pharmacy for your eyes.

As a licensed optician, my job is to translate your prescription into eyewear that suits your needs. We carry hundreds of frames, with all types of styles. We use quality lenses and lens treatments. We sell contact lenses as well as non prescription sunglasses. We have a large inventory of children’s frames. We make safety and sport glasses too. We know how to fit you for eyewear that works best for your prescription. We know how to do minor repairs. We have a good eye for what is traditional, fashionable, trendy, stylish and fun! We love what we do and we love doing it here on the Shore. We also love pets, so we decided to expand the business and add products that are Made in the USA sourced from small family business vendors. Toys, treats and accessories sure to delight your pets. We ship too, so sending that grand pup or kitty a gift is easy!! And, we participate in the Cape Charles Main Street Gift Card Program, so gift giving is easier than ever!

Thank you for all the prayers and offers to help as we navigate these broken bones. I am doing as well as possible with the situation

Once the stitches are removed on the 16th, I plan to return to the store on a reduced schedule. For now, it’s elevation and no weight bearing.
If you would like to purchase eyewear, we can set up an appointment to do so. Just call the store, 757 331 6208. I check the vm several times a day and will return your call as soon as possible.
For all my pet people, I miss seeing your pups! Give them a scritch for me and know we hope to see them all on the 17th!

Why Focus

Paul and I wanted to bring affordable eyewear to the Eastern Shore. I had been working in optical in Hampton and commuting every day. When the opportunity arose to rent a space in Cape Charles in 2019, we decided to make the dream a reality.

Allyson and I have been working in optical for many years. We met at optician’s school in Norfolk. We know how to fit you for eyewear that works best for your prescription. We know how to do minor repairs. We have a good eye for what is traditional, fashionable, trendy, stylish and fun! We love what we do and we love doing it here on the Shore.
