✨ Welcome Our New Lifestyles Coordinator, Margie! ✨

Please join us in welcoming Margie to her new role as Lifestyles Coordinator at Gulf Coast Village!

Margie’s journey in senior living began right here at GCV in 2021 as a Concierge, where she quickly developed a passion for serving residents. In 2023, she transitioned into the Admissions department, gaining valuable experience and a deeper understanding of the resident journey. Along the way, she was blessed to learn from the incredible Social Services and MDS teams, often stepping in to assist when needed and expanding her knowledge of resident care.

What Margie loves most about her work is helping residents find peace of mind by providing clear information and guidance so they can focus on their recovery and well-being. She especially enjoys reminiscing with residents about how far they’ve come from day one to discharge — celebrating each step of their progress.

Outside of work, Margie is happily married with two children and one beloved fur baby. In her free time, she enjoys working in the yard and spending every available minute with her dog.

We are so excited to see the heart, compassion, and positive energy Margie will bring to this new role!

More Than Just Cookies 🍪

Today we had the honor of welcoming Leyla from Troop 783 to the Village to sell Girl Scout cookies! Residents, staff, and visitors were able to pick up a box of their favorites at Leyla’s booth.

As many women approached the table, they couldn’t help but reminisce about their own Girl Scout days. Resident Gale Studna shared that she was a Girl Scout at just six years old in Springfield, Massachusetts, back in 1948! She fondly recalled selling cookies for only $0.40 a box — compared to the standard $6.00 a box today.

Leyla’s troop leader, Adrianna Swanson, shared the mission of Troop 783:
“Girl Scouts is all about building girls of courage, confidence, and character, and I see that mission come to life every time our troop comes together. These girls are learning to lead with heart, to support one another, and to make a real impact in their community. Seeing Leyla’s impact at Gulf Coast Village today is exactly what Girl Scouts is all about.”

We’re happy to share that Leyla sold out of all 70 boxes she brought today!
