Four weeks of effort, strength, and growth đź’›

This sweet princess stole my heart as she worked so hard, tried new things, and kept going even when tasks were challenging. Progress like this isn’t about one moment — it’s built through repetition, persistence, and a whole lot of courage.

Over the past four weeks we worked through a variety of exercises and positions focused on building her foundational core strength and helping her body grow stronger and more confident in the way she moves. Along the way we built something just as important — trust. We learned so much about each other as we trusted the process and worked through each new challenge together.

What stands out most isn’t just the physical progress, but the bravery and determination she brought to every session. Watching her confidence grow and her personality shine through truly melted my heart.

And behind all of that hard work is an incredible family supporting her every step of the way. The love, encouragement, and dedication family brings to these journeys make such a difference.

So proud of the effort she gave and grateful to be part of her journey đź’›

Today is Rare Disease Day đź’ś

We honor the children and families navigating rare diagnoses with courage, resilience, and unwavering love.

Behind every rare condition is a child who deserves to be seen for who they are — their strengths, their personality, their effort, and their potential. And behind that child is a family fighting tirelessly, advocating fiercely, and loving deeply through challenges most people will never fully understand.

At PlayStrong, it’s a privilege to support these journeys and to create a space where every child and family is met with understanding, respect, and individualized care.

You are not alone đź’ś

OT intensives aren’t meant to replace traditional therapy — they’re a different approach designed for children who may need more focused time and repetition to support meaningful progress.

By working together more frequently over a shorter period, we can build momentum, strengthen foundational skills, and give the brain and body the opportunity to adapt and learn in a new way.

This approach isn’t right for every child, but for the right situation, it can be powerful.

Every family’s journey is different, and part of my role is helping you decide what makes the most sense for your child 💛

📩 Message me if you’re curious whether an intensive could be a good fit.

Strong hearts. Strong foundations. đź’›

This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating the courage, effort, and progress of every child and family we have the privilege to support.

Growth doesn’t always happen in big moments — often it’s built through persistence, trust, and the small steps that add up over time.

Grateful to do this work and to walk alongside these journeys đź’›

One thing I’ve already learned in these first couple weeks is that families are asking really thoughtful questions — and they should.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to therapy. My role is to help families understand their options and decide what makes the most sense for their child, their goals, and their season of life.

Questions are always welcome here.
Sometimes a conversation is the most important first step đź’›

What looks like play is actually very intentional.

Every activity in this space is chosen to support strength, regulation, posture, and functional movement — always through purposeful play.

Progress starts with how a child feels in their body, and these early moments matter more than people realize đź’›

Wondering whether an OT intensive could be the right fit for your child?

OT intensives aren’t designed for every child — but for some, they provide the focused time and repetition needed to support meaningful change.

At PlayStrong Intensives, I work with children who may benefit from:
• Building strength, endurance, and postural control
• Support with regulation and foundational movement patterns
• A highly individualized, strength-based approach

These needs are often seen in children with developmental delays, tone differences (low or high tone), or neurological diagnoses — but the focus is always on how your child moves, functions, and participates, not just a label.

If therapy has felt frustrating or progress has felt slow in the past, an intensive may be worth exploring.

I’m always happy to talk through whether this approach makes sense for your child — even if the answer ends up being no.
