New name.. who dis?

Still me, just more official!

Along with the new name, expect a few new offerings available to you in 2026!

-Theory & Practice will offer community workshops, giving YOU a chance to learn the massage techniques you know and love to use on your friends and family! Watch your inbox (if you are a subscriber to my emails!) and Facebook for dates and details!

-Theory & Practice is expanding to offer a Massage Therapy Mentorship Program for the Cape Girardeau area tentatively in 2026! This program will provide YOU with the opportunity to become a licensed massage therapist! More details to come!

-Want a 1:1 massage technique session? Starting in February, T&P will offer private lessons for partners seeking to learn specific muscle release techniques to take home. These sessions will be $120/pair ($60/person) for 1 hour.

-Join Maggie Salem, RYT500 and Maggie Baltzell, LMT, RYT200 for a night of laughter, connection, and learning at our third annual Partner Yoga and Massage event! Each year we have witnessed lovebirds grow closer as they are led through couple's yoga poses and guided touch; sending them into the night with a renewed sense of connection.

Walking in the parade was the BIGGEST surge of holiday spirit I have experienced since I was a little kid! Thank you, Old Town Cape, Inc. for putting it on and Yoga East Healing Arts Studio for letting me be a part of it! & thank you to everyone who donated their time and energy to make this specific float come to life!

You can donate them at your regularly scheduled massage from now through December 23rd. Don’t have a massage on the schedule? Just DM me and we can arrange a drop-off time.

Hello my friends! Long time, no post.

A few things about Massage Therapy by Maggie Baltzell that will be changing!

1. I'm moving! ✨August 1st!✨ Same building, different room. Instead of going through the door we usually do, we will now be entering through the ramp door to the left. I will have a sign indicating where to go. This is such an exciting change! We will have a cozy and private entryway with refreshments and all the vibes.

2. Retail! I will be selling some of the items I use in massage for those of you who want to continue the work at home. This will include silicone cups, rice socks, gua sha tools, foam rollers, etc.

3. Price increase. As of August 1st, prices will go up $5. It will look like this:

30 minute massage- $55
75 minute massage- $105
90 minute massage- $125

4. I have been booked out about a month, so anticipate to plan your self care ahead of time (you know you're going to need it). If your schedule does not allow for planning that far in advance, don't worry! My waitlist is available here:

After the storms this week, I noticed I felt jumpy and on edge. Anyone else feel that?

I realized my nervous system was wound up from the anxiety and fear that came up with the storms.

Yoga has helped me switch back into my parasympathetic nervous system along with walking, meditation, journaling, breathwork, and an epsom salt bath followed by a cold shower!

S/O to Jamie Masters for an incredible Warm Yin class that calmed me down and helped me through that second storm!

I'm so thankful to have Yoga East Healing Arts Studio as a home for healing and restoration!

Some pics from our last massage and soundbath event!

This Friday will be our 3rd event together and I am so excited to share this night with you all!

We start each event with a meditation then the participants lay down on their mats however they feel comfortable. Savitri guides us into deep relaxation with her instrumentals while I beep bop around to each person, connecting through touch.

We cannot wait to see you all there! 💜✨
