Serving Veterans in southeast Missouri, the Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau opened its doors in 1990. Since the beginning, we have prided ourselves in giving high-quality, compassionate care to Veterans requiring 24-hour skilled nursing health care services. Congratulations to our September Employee of the Month Caleb Helbling! Caleb is a CNA on our dementia unit. He was nominated by his unit manager for his willingness to step up and help out wherever needed. Caleb not only steps up on his unit but volunteered to help recreation when they took Veterans to the Cardinals game. He worked hard helping feed, push and take Veterans to the restroom. Recreation thinks he's a rockstar and so do the rest of his coworkers! Caleb always has a positive attitude in all he does and always puts our Veterans first. Thank you Caleb for all you do! We appreciate you!

Today some of our leadership team celebrated Women in Business Day with the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce at their 3rd Annual Luncheon. They enjoyed two great speakers, a wonderful lunch and some fantastic networking opportunities with other local female leaders. Thank you to our Cape Girardeau Veterans Home Foundation for sponsoring this opportunity for our staff and to the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce for putting on a fantastic event!
