Meet Dr. Ahnie Bequette!

Dr. Ahnie Bequette grew up in Perryville, Missouri, and now calls Jackson home. After graduating from Perryville High School in 2016, she started her academic journey at John A. Logan College, where she earned her Associate of Science degree. She then continued on to Southeast Missouri State University, completing bachelor’s degrees in both Chemistry and Mathematics in 2020.

While at SEMO, one class on the human eye completely changed her path. Unsure of her career direction at the time, she realized optometry was the perfect fit—a way to combine her love of math and science with helping others. Shadowing local optometrist Dr. Brost confirmed her passion, and she went on to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, graduating in 2025.

Dr. Bequette is a member of the Missouri Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Missouri Optometric Foundation. She will soon be seeing patients of all ages at all three of our locations.

Outside of the office, you can often find Dr. Bequette enjoying the outdoors—whether that’s hunting, going for walks, or simply spending time in nature. She also loves reading and being with her family.

She’s excited to return home to begin her career and looks forward to building connections with patients while helping them see their best.
