When a healthcare crisis occurs the caregivers, seniors, chronically disabled and their families are faced with decisions they are not prepared to make.

The landscape of healthcare changes daily and professionals don’t have time to discuss alternatives of care for you or your loved one. Because of this, a healthcare patient advocate can be a valuable resource.

Healthcare Advocates are usually independent and are NOT hospital patient representatives, who usually work in risk management or the legal department and whose primary goal is to deal with complaints, nursing and physician errors, and prevent hospitals from being sued!

Healthcare patient advocates represent YOU, the client, and your family.

Why everyone ages 18 and up should have a Medical Power of Attorney!

A Medical Power of Attorney allows you to designate someone to make medical decisions for you in the event that you can no longer make decisions for yourself. Executing a Medical Power of Attorney allows you to decide who will make these critical decisions. Without a Medical Power of Attorney, your loved ones may have to go to court to obtain a guardianship if you become incapacitated. Guardianship can be costly, time consuming, and stressful. Guardianship also takes away your ability to decide who will be making life or death decisions for you.

If you have a child going to college, this is a good time to get this done. Usually, a Medical Power of Attorney is a part of your overall estate plan, as at a minimum most adults should have a Will, Medical Power of Attorney, and Durable Power of Attorney.

Do you need a Medical Power of Attorney? Please take the next step and call me at 609-231-9194 or schedule a brief free consultation or by emailing me @ tlcplexus2020@gmail.com
