🌏In Chinese Medicine, Late Summer is the Season of the Earth Element. The organ associated with the Earth element is the Spleen.
📺The Spleen is in charge of digesting EVERYTHING you come into contact with, from food and water to information and interactions with others.
🍦The Spleen is injured by worry, sitting, and sugary, cold, and rich foods.
🥱Symptoms of Spleen qi imbalance include fatigue, brain fog, muscle weakness, bloating, and loose stools.
🍜To keep your Spleen qi strong, say goodbye to cold, raw foods (until next Summer!), and focus on drinking room temperature or warm drinks, incorporate broths, soups, and warm breakfasts into your routine. Try to eat without distractions so that your body can focus on digesting your food optimally. Instead of worrying about the future, focus on what you're thankful for today. Cheers to a happier Spleen!
