The Cook Inclusive Company employs individuals living with disabilities to work in camp culinary kitchens across the state of Colorado. We provide professional culinary training, provide job mentors, and foster inclusive working communities. Our Mission: To provide inclusive career-focused transitional programming to individuals living with disabilities within summer camp culinary kitchens. Our Vision: The Cook Inclusive Company has a vision of a community where individuals of all abilities feel empowered to follow their career passions and are provided the support through education, accommodations, and inclusive employment opportunities. After deep reflection and review with our board, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to dissolve Cook Inclusive effective 09/12/25.

Despite our best efforts to stabilize funding, unforeseen challenges have left us in an unsustainable position. This has allowed us to ensure we honor our commitments and support our staff.

We are so grateful to our staff, volunteers, partners, and donors who have made this work possible. Although Cook Inclusive has closed, the spirit of inclusion and community we’ve built together will live on.

Cecelia McGarva has been a job coach with Cook Inclusive for one year and is thrilled to take on her new role as Vocational and Communications Coordinator! As a job coach, she has loved watching clients gain independence while building meaningful relationships with them. Cecelia is excited to continue this work and help Cook Inclusive thrive through team collaboration, communication, social media, and leadership.

She is passionate about this work because she believes EVERY individual deserves to enjoy this beautiful life—something made possible through inclusivity, independence, and community. Outside of work, Cecelia loves to play outside, ski, mountain bike, fly fish, attend concerts, travel, and adventure in any way! 🌈🕺🏻🌱🎉🏔️

✨ Leadership Update ✨

Cook Inclusive is proud to reintroduce Kaleb Cook (they/he) as our Executive Director.

Kaleb is a disabled and q***r leader, social entrepreneur, and nonprofit innovation consultant dedicated to building spaces where disabled, BIPOC, q***r, and low-income Folx thrive through employment, recreation, and community power.

🎓 Kaleb earned a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation + Nonprofit Management from the University of Iowa and continued their education through the University of Iowa’s LEND Program, where their research focused on employment barriers for disabled and q***r communities.

Their work spans Colorado, Puerto Rico, and Florida, supporting startups and designing innovative programs. Kaleb is fluent in ASL and is poco a poco improving their Spanish 🌱.

We’re excited for this next chapter of Cook Inclusive under Kaleb’s leadership — full of innovation, joy, and community impact. 💜
