Monday, 22 September, we celebrate the Autumnal Equinox—that moment in time when light and dark stand in perfect balance. The seasons are again changing and the earth invites us to pause as we give thanks for what has grown and we begin moving toward winter.

This week our Restorative Yoga practice will move us gently into a few shapes to help us relax and let the cares of the day flow into the earth. A longer Yoga Nidra meditation completes the indoor practice. I used several sources to create this meditation for the group to send healing energies to the Earth as well all who live upon her.

For those who wish to stay, we will go outside for a brief 10-15 minute ceremony following our practice. Please bring a few things from nature you may find in your yard—stones, acorns, other nuts, fall leaves, or small sticks. You might also gather items from the season—an apple, cornmeal, seeds, or herbs. We will each create a small circle on the earth to infuse our meditation’s intentions and light a candle (provided) to complete the ceremony.

Mama "Doc" Clo is fresh off of a tour of speaking about: Medi-Play-tion Yakima, Play in Public Health (IDPH Conference) and Play as Disaster preparedness ( Carbondale Civic Center).

In this experience, we’ll explore how play lights up all regions of the brain — from imagination to muscle memory — and use our bodies to connect with both our inner landscapes and the world around us.
Come ready to move, breathe, and reclaim play as a powerful tool for healing, balance, and belonging.

This session combines movement with light discourse so bring your pad and pen.

OM Flow will not meet Saturday, 13 September! Maria is celebrating her graduation as a Certified Yoga Therapist at the Soul of Yoga. She has completed a minimum of 600 hours of coursework, 50 hours of mentoring, and 150 hours of practicums. That's in addition to all the years of yoga practice and teaching!!! I've been so glad to practice Yoga with Maria for many years -- this is a new level of expertise and experience. CONGRATULATIONS MARIA!!!

The weather is heating up again. Come inside where it's cool and learn to fill your hands with Reiki healing and warmth--a better way to stay warm than what's outside when it's in the 90s!

Reiki Level 1 this Saturday and the second Saturday every month begins at 1:00 PM and ends around 4:00 PM. Every class follows a similar format: introductions, meditation, Reiki self healing, Reiki Level 1 attunement, instruction, and then practice! Class ends when everyone has had an opportunity to both give and receive Reiki energy. At the very least, it's relaxing. At the most--transformative! $25
