Talk about lucky timing. The FDA just authorized the first eyeglass lenses that can actually slow myopia progression in kids.

If your child is nearsighted, you've probably wondered if there's more you could do than just getting a stronger prescription every year. Now there is.

Essilor Stellest lenses showed a 71% reduction in myopia progression in clinical trials. They work for kids 6-12, including younger children who can't wear contacts yet. And unlike contact lenses, there's no infection risk.

Here's why this matters: By 2050, more than half the world's population is expected to be nearsighted. Left untreated, high myopia significantly increases the risk of retinal detachment, glaucoma, and cataracts later in life.
