We believe that taking care of the entire family helps us better to understand each member. In addition, we are an accredited Family Medicine Residency which means we train physicians to be Family Medicine specialists with an emphasis on health care needs regardless of your age or gender. Emphasis is placed on patient education and prevention of illness. SIU Family Physicians clinic is staffed by qualified doctors (MD's & PA-C's) who have chosen their specialty certification in Family Medicine. You and your family will be assigned to one physician. A resident physician is a medical school graduate who is a licensed physician in the State of Illinois and is seeking advanced training in Family Medicine. A faculty physician is a specialist in Family Medicine. You will be seen by your assigned family physician at all possible times. Alternatively, you may be seen by another team physician who shares calls with your doctor. However, you may be assured that we will make every effort to provide you care with a physician you know.

My wife and I have been patients at SIU Family Medicine for nearly 20 years, and it truly feels like our healthcare home. Dr. Quincy Scott is the most caring physician I’ve ever had. He listens carefully and answers questions with exactly the right level of detail. That’s why we’ve stayed with SIU Family Medicine.

Let our family take care of yours. We are accepting new patients. Call 618-536-6621 to schedule your appointment.

You've gone in for your annual check-up and you're feeling fine. So why is your doctor ordering additional tests?

Routine screenings help catch issues when they're more treatable and before they become serious problems. From cholesterol checks to mammograms and colonoscopies, early detection can save lives, and at the very least, gives you peace at mind.
