Kenny Mueller, RDH, DDS

Kenny always knew he wanted to work in the healthcare industry and wanted a job where he could work with his hands. After shadowing his own hygienist, he was hooked and knew he wanted to pursue a career in dental hygiene. He was determined to find a four-year university that made him feel at home and was welcoming. After visiting SIUC, he knew he had found the program for him! He attended SIUC from 2010-2013, and after graduating, continued to take classes in order to be able to apply to dental school. In 2015, he had to make a big decision after being accepted into two dental schools. After much consideration, he chose to attend The Ohio State University. His experience in dental school was quite challenging with very difficult courses and some semesters having as many as 28 credit hours. His knowledge and background in dental hygiene allowed him to focus even more on those more difficult courses as he was already familiar with common dental terminology. Although the program was very challenging at times, it was also one of the most rewarding times of his life. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2020 and is currently practicing in St. Peters, Missouri. Having a degree in dental hygiene certainly helped him on his journey to becoming a dentist and he has formed a great working relationship with the hygienists in his office. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to them if needed!
