MENTAL HEALTH TRAINING: Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adolescents ages 12-18.

You’ll build skills and confidence you need to reach out and provide initial support to young people who are struggling. You’ll also learn how to help connect them to appropriate support.

Southern Illinois Coaches had the chance to learn about the latest research in nutrition and what it take to be leaders for today's athletes.

Our SIH Rehabilitation teams led breakout sessions on injury management and more.

Last week, in a first for our region, Prairie electrophysiologist, Dr. Fadi Obeid, performed the first pulsed field ablation.

This newer approach helps better target the right areas of heart tissue to get your heart in sync.

GREAT EVENT: Dozens of young people from across Southern Illinois got a taste of the medical field thanks to a partnership between SIH physicians Kelli Webb and Mark Korte, SIU School of Medicine students and other community healthcare leaders.

The event at Unity Christian School used hands-on learning to highlight anatomy & physiology for kids between the ages of 3 and 14.
