With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John A. Chambers, age 95, who departed this life peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, 604 N. Marion St., Carbondale.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church.
Following the service, burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.

John will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and the love he shared with all who knew him. Please join us to honor his memory and celebrate a life well lived.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jerry Edward Brown, age 89, who transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Friday, August 15, 2025, while sitting beside the love of his life. His gentle spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, 400 East Main Street, Carbondale, Illinois. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.

Following the service, interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.
