Arlene Nelson, age 97, answered the Lord’s calling on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Helia Healthcare of Energy.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Colp, Illinois. A visitation will be held prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the church.

Burial will follow in Colp-Dewmaine Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Arlene’s long and blessed life.

Herman Williams, Sr., 81, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 803 N. Robert A. Stalls Ave., Carbondale.

A Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church.

Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in his honor on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, located at 400 E. Main Street, Carbondale, IL.

A visitation will occur prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church, allowing family and friends to pay their respects.
