What if the strongest warrior you know… isn’t ready to tell her story yet?

This week, I had to pivot.
Abri wasn’t able to join me—and instead of pushing, we honored that.

Because sometimes… healing is quiet.
Sometimes the words just aren’t there yet.
And that’s okay.

Today, her mom stepped in.
And through her voice, we felt Abri’s strength, her faith, her fight.

This isn’t just a story about survival.
It’s about gentleness in the process,
about protecting hearts,
and about knowing that being a warrior doesn’t always mean speaking—it sometimes means simply continuing to breathe, to heal, to be.

If you’re in a season where you don’t have the words…
you are still strong.
You are still a warrior.

The moment you learn to advocate for yourself… your entire life can change.

As amputees—and honestly as people in general—we often stay quiet when something doesn’t feel right. Whether it’s with doctors, prosthetists, friendships, or even the goals we’re chasing, we sometimes settle instead of speaking up.

In this episode of the BAWarrior Podcast, I talk about why advocating for yourself is one of the most important skills you can learn. No one knows your body, your pain, or your dreams better than you do. And when you start clearly communicating what you need, raising your standards, and refusing to settle, everything shifts.

You deserve the right team. You deserve the right support. And you deserve the life you’re working so hard to build.

Warriors don’t stay quiet—they rise up and advocate for the life they deserve.

You can’t ski looking backward — and you can’t live that way either.

Today I share one of the most powerful lessons the mountain has taught me as an above knee amputee: learn from what’s behind you, but focus on what’s in front of you. The past gives us wisdom, but if we keep staring at it, we lose balance. Growth happens when we stay aware, breathe, and move forward with courage.

Warriors don’t ignore the past — we use it to guide our next line down the mountain.
