Tis the Season for the 4th Annual Coat Drive!! 🧥

Grace United Methodist Church (301 E. Findlay St., Carey OH) is collecting gently used or new coats, gloves, and new hats throughout the month of November! 🧤🧣All donations will be taken to the local Clothing Closet right here in Carey! Drop off centers include The Coffee Shop and Dietz Chiropractic, both in Carey. If you can't make it to any of the drop off centers, pick-up is available. For any questions please private message Sarah Zender Kloepfer through Facebook or call the church at 419-396-6670.

Last year we collected 127 coats, 129 sets of gloves, 159 hats, and multiple pair of snow pants, scarves and earmuffs. Thank you in advance for your generous donations!

If you're looking for something to do on Saturday - get your costume on and come run/walk! Sign-up is at 1. 🎃

It’s time to lace up your running shoes and get into the Halloween spirit! The Boo Jacket 5K Trick or Trot will take place on Saturday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m.

The event will include a Fun Run for students in 6th grade and under, as well as the full 5K race for all other participants. Costumes are encouraged — come dressed in your Halloween best and join us for a great afternoon of fun, fitness, and community spirit!

To guarantee an event shirt, please turn in your registration by Friday, October 10. Registration forms can be dropped off at the school during the school day.

Registrations received after that date are still welcome but will not be guaranteed a shirt.

We’re excited to invite you and your family to our Fire Prevention Day Open House on Sunday, September 21st, 2025 from Noon–4:00 PM at the Carey Fire Department!

This is our very first time hosting this event, and we’ve designed it to be a fun, family-friendly, and educational afternoon. Come learn about fire safety, meet your local firefighters, and enjoy hands-on activities for all ages.
