💜💙 National Assisted Living Week was September 7–13.

We celebrated with Big Bingo, build-your-own banana splits, and a delicious BBQ 🍦🎶🍔. Residents, staff, and families came together to enjoy food, fun, and fellowship—all in honor of the amazing role assisted living plays in our community.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this week so special for our residents. Your care truly brings our mission of Caring for Those Who Served to life. 💐

Residents recently attended the Madawaska Acadian Festival Senior Picnic, where they enjoyed a great picnic lunch followed by some dancing! 🕺💃🏻

💜🐴 Thank you to East of Eden Stables for hosting this special outing for our residents back in August. The horses are beautiful and the big smiles are priceless! 🐎✨

🎃🍬 Trick-or-Treat Donations Needed! 🍬🎃

Halloween is right around the corner, and our residents can’t wait to hand out candy to all the little ghosts and goblins who visit! 👻

Last year, thanks to our community’s generosity, we received lots of candy donations—but we still ran out before the night was over! This year, we’re hoping to collect even more bags of individually wrapped candy so that every trick-or-treater leaves with a smile.

Donations can be dropped off in this baskets at our Home. Thank you for helping us make Halloween extra special for our residents and families! 🧡🖤

🎶🎤 We welcomed a very special guest — Jenny, a 21-year U.S. Air Force Veteran who now travels the country with the Nomads, Mission Volunteers. Jenny brings joy to Veterans by visiting homes and hospitals across the country to sing, share stories, and connect.

Most recently traveling through Vermont, Jenny made a special stop here in Maine — and we are so glad she did! 💙 Our residents loved singing along with her interactive karaoke program and visiting with her afterward.

Thank you, Jenny, for sharing your time, talents, and heart with us! ❤️

🚗 Our residents had a fantastic time at the Northern Maine Fair Association Rods, Rides & Relics Car Show! We saw classic cars, hot rods, and everything in between. ❤️

🍦 Ice Cream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream! 🍦

A huge thank you to the Deprey family for bringing the Scoops Ice Cream Truck back to the Home! Residents and staff were thrilled to have a cold treat on this hot day. 💙

We had a special celebration for our beloved resident June as she turned 99! The kindergarten class from Ashland Elementary School made the day extra special with handmade cards, cupcakes, games, and even a few songs. 🧁🥳

Throughout the school year, these kindergartners have affectionately adopted her as “Grammy June,” brightening her days with posters and crafts. June even took a bus ride earlier this year to visit her kindergarten friends in Ashland!

We, along with June’s family, are incredibly grateful for this beautiful intergenerational bond.
