County Physical Therapy merging Madawaska clinic into Fort Kent
County Physical Therapy, LLC (CPT) is announcing that we will be merging our Madawaska operations into our Fort Kent location in June 2025. The decision is a result of the end of CPT’s long term lease at the Acadia School building in Madawaska.
“This was a very difficult decision for us,” according to CPT General Manager Richard Ezzy. “We have been in the Acadia School building for more than 25 years, and we have been privileged to be a part of this community. With changes that the landlord is pursuing, we were not able to renew our lease.” Ezzy added that while CPT did explore alternative locations in Madawaska, the conclusion was reached that merging into the Fort Kent location was the most efficient option.
CPT Founder and President Mark Rossignol is hopeful that many clients will follow CPT to Fort Kent, which is 19 miles from the Madawaska clinic. “CPT has been around for nearly 40 years, and people trust us to deliver results-based therapy. We have a great team in Fort Kent, led by long-time clinic leader Matt Michaud, and this merge will ensure we can continue to provide the superior care that CPT is known for.”
CPT Madawaska will be winding down through Friday, June 13, 2025. After that date, patients can continue working with CPT at their Fort Kent or Caribou locations, whichever is more convenient. Patient records will be transferred to their clinic of choice.
County Physical Therapy has been providing therapy services since 1987. In addition to their St. John Valley locations, CPT has Aroostook County outpatient clinics in Caribou, Presque Isle, and Houlton, as well as a clinic in Bangor.
