Carlinville Area Hospital & Clinics (CAH&C) is proud to announce the recent donation of funds from the CAH&C Auxiliary to purchase ten new Stryker wheelchairs. This generous contribution represents the Auxiliary’s ongoing commitment to support the hospital's mission of delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

The new wheelchairs, which feature ergonomic design, enhanced safety features, and improved maneuverability, are making a positive impact on both patients and staff. The upgraded Stryker chairs offer increased comfort and security for patients during transport, while reducing physical strain on staff.

“These new wheelchairs are a game-changer,” said Meghan Hubrich, Emergency Department Manager. “They improve accessibility and ease of movement for patients while giving our team the tools they need to provide care efficiently and safely.”

The new wheelchairs are now in use throughout the facility, benefiting patients across departments and reinforcing CAH&C’s commitment to providing high-quality care, locally. “On behalf of the entire staff and leadership at CAH&C, we extend our sincere gratitude to the Auxiliary for their continued generosity,” said Brian Burnside, President/CEO.

The CAH&C Auxiliary, a volunteer-led organization, has a long-standing history of supporting the hospital through fundraising and community engagement. Community members inspired by the Auxiliary’s meaningful contributions and want to help make a difference in local healthcare are encouraged to join CAH&C’s Auxiliary. Another unforgettable Hospital Week is in the books! This year’s "Best in Show" celebration truly lived up to its name as we honored the incredible staff and providers who make Carlinville Area Hospital & Clinics such a special place to work. The week kicked off with a festive parade and continued with games, music, food trucks, and a crowd-favorite dunk tank (which raised $400 for Macoupin County 4-H!) While we celebrate our amazing team every day, Hospital Week gives us a special chance to go all out—and we already can’t wait to do it again next year!
