On Wednesday, we had the honor of celebrating something special.
The DAISY Award, along with our Tulip and Bluebell Awards, aren’t just about recognition. They start with a story.

Each nomination comes from someone who experienced care in a moment that mattered. Someone who took the time to sit down, reflect, and say, “This person made a difference for me.”

Last night was a reminder that nurses deserve more than a quick thank you.

From live music to shopping around the Square, great food, cocktails, and community connection, Nurses Night Out was such a special evening to be part of.

Thank you to the nurses who joined us, the CAH+C staff who helped bring the event to life, our participating shops and vendors, Courtney and the Meeks for the fantastic music, and the Carlinville Elks Lodge for helping create such a welcoming atmosphere.

This night continues to become one of our favorite traditions because it truly celebrates the people who spend their lives caring for others.

We’re already looking forward to next year. ✨

Recently, residents at Courtyard Estates of Girard spent time with Vicki from Carlinville Area Hospital & Clinics creating decorating flower pots and then paired them with handwritten thank-you notes to share a little kindness and appreciation with others.

Shona Quick, one of our providers at Carlinville Area Hospital & Clinics, just ran the Boston Marathon!

Her 15th marathon and her fastest time yet at 4:08!

She described it as “true grit every mile,” and credited a lot of support from family, friends, and the community that helped her get there.

That same determination shows up every day in her role within our Outpatient Specialty Clinic, where she specializes in Gastroenterology.

All Carlinville Area Hospital & Clinics Rural Health locations, including Carlinville, Girard, Gillespie, and Virden, will be CLOSED on Tuesday, April 28th.

Exception: Physical Therapy services will remain open at the Virden location.

This morning gave us a chance to pause and recognize a group that contributes so much throughout the year.
Our Auxiliary volunteers spent time together enjoying fresh flowers from Mirabee Flowers mobile cart, coffee from Sips Coffee Co, and a few sweet treats along the way. They also got an early look at what’s ahead with a sneak peek of our East Campus.
Most importantly, it was a chance to connect and spend time together.
To each member of our Auxiliary, thank you. For your time, your care, and the ways you support patients, staff, and the experience of care here every day. Carlinville Area Hospital & Clinics Auxiliary

Because feeling well is influenced by more than what happens in an exam room.
