LMT, CHt, E-RYT, Realtor
When people experience trauma or life stressors, it’s very common for their lives to unravel. My passion is to assist in healing the whole person; the mind, the body and the soul. I help my clients, who include adults, children and families, regain inner strength, greater focus, self-esteem, discipline, goal setting, self-love, and an overall feeling of safety and wholeness. I understand that each person is different and that healing isn’t a one size fits all approach. I incorporate the Healing Arts modalities that I have learned, along with many years of experience to serve each client’s individual needs.
Out of all of the education, training and experience that I have been blessed with, Yoga is by far one of my favorites. It has saved me numerous times over. For over 36-years I have studied, practiced and taught with some of the most prominent Master Teachers from around the world, including a 300- hour yoga training through Moksha Yoga in Chicago. Yoga is a weaving of the postures, along with breath work, creating a moving meditation. The benefits include alleviating stress, anxiety, greater focus, strength and flexibility, while becoming self-aware, physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and spiritually. And…yoga can be modified to fit you. Anyone and everyone can and should do yoga.
In 2003 I put down roots and opened Sacred Spirit Yoga and Wellness. An amazing space where we offered Yoga, Massage Therapy, Thai Massage, Acupuncture, Nutritional Consulting, Iridology, Hypnotherapy, Naturopathic and Nutritional Consulting, Herbal Remedies, Aromatherapy, Sound Healing with Tibetan Bowls, Touch for Health, and so much more. It was an amazing sacred space, with the best people ever.
In 2008 while working with the Center for Reproductive Health, teaching yoga, breathing exercises, stress management, self-hypnosis, creative visualization and nutritional information to women experiencing fertility issues, I too got the baby bug, and at the age of 45-years old I became pregnant naturally. The following February 2009, Jason and I welcomed a healthy 9-lb 11-oz baby boy, Gianni Antonio Zanelli into our family and hearts.
In March of 2013 we packed up on a whim and moved to Naples Florida. Yes, I have a little bit of Gypsy in my soul. I continued to practice my Healing Arts modalities and teach yoga, but I also became intrigued with the magnificent homes and the selling of Luxury Real Estate in beautiful sunny Naples. I took my classes, sat for the state exam and started working for Premier Sotheby’s. I had no idea how challenging being a realtor was. Luckily I had my Healing Arts background to help me alleviate the stress, stay grounded and focused while navigating this demanding occupation, and it helped immensely. I ran a successful real estate business through December of 2021 and currently work as referral agent.
In 2018 along with having a successful real estate career, I had the opportunity to work with and serve in my community by taking on the role of the Healing Arts Advocate at the Naples Shelter for Abused Women and Children. I worked closely with both, survivors of domestic abuse and human trafficking. My initial goal was to comfort them, calm them down and help them make sense of what happened to them. In time I was able to teach them Healing Arts Modalities for self-care to replace un-serving and/or harmful self-soothing techniques (drugs, alcohol, food, self-harming, etc.) that were often used as a means of protection, some since childhood.
We eventually decided to jump off the hamster wheel of our hectic lives, and in December of 2021 we moved back to Illinois to be closer to family and live a simpler life. We’re renovating a 122- year old farm house, and an old church built in 1848.
My life is blessed with a wonderful husband of 23-years, three amazing children, and four beautiful grandchildren that I love dearly. My family and friends are my best blessing ever. I enjoy practicing yoga, taking long walks in the woods, working in my garden, selling real estate part time, hanging out with friends, family, and just living the country life.
I’m very involved in my Healing Arts work as an entrepreneur, educator and speaker. I’ve always said, “Energy Follows Intention” what you think, what you focus on, you have the ability to create. I truly feel that I have manifested so many wonderful experiences in this thing called life. I am truly blessed, and in a humble way I say, “I am a magnificent manifestor!”
