I am humbled and honored to be part of the Breathe, Bloom + Be event sponsored by FemCity Des Moines -- an evening dedicated to women's wellness and connection. Breathe, Bloom + Be is a unique event designed to inspire, educate, and rejuvenate.

As I thought what might be the most impactful hands on experience I could offer, I thought about my time spent volunteering at a memory care unit in Beaverdale.

In a world buzzing with distractions, we often forget the profound simplicity of human connection. The power of touch transcends words--it soothes, heals, and reminds us to be fully present with those we love and share our time with. A gentle hand massage or comforting embrace can rekindle bonds, offering not just physical relief but emotional closeness.

Take a moment to pause, cherish, and connect--because sometimes, it's the smallest gestures that carry the greatest meaning...no matter if it is your child, parent, grandparent, or simply you helping someone searching for "moments".

Jenny’s practice has transformed since she started in 2013. As her knowledge and experience expanded, she quickly became one of Beaverdale’s most highly reviewed massage therapists. You won’t find a cookie cutter massage here. Every BODY is different. EVERY time. The most common client has pain of some kind or range of motion issues. And she will address them with a wide range of techniques she’s picked up through the years. But don’t worry, she has a strict pain philosophy and policy so be assured if you’ve had terribly painful massage before, that won’t be the case with Jenny.

Her second type of clients are those who have a high level of stress or anxiety that may or may not be causing physical pain. In those cases, working specifically on tension spots isn’t always what is needed. She not only uses different techniques, but also includes essential oils specifically chosen for your needs. Need to focus on that big project at work? Are you dealing with anxiety? Agitation? Every personal situation is different and essential oils are the perfect addition to your tailored massage.
