Much of 2023 Beech Street spent exploring our own ablesism and ensuring our practice is deeply rooted in being a community of Child- Led, Neurodiverse Affirming clinicians, consultants and therapists.

One of the dreams has always been to expand to include a holistic supportive approach to our families. It is with the greatest excitement and honor that I welcome our partnership with Krista Boynton of Oleena Speech & Feeding Therapies!!

Krista brings over 15 years experience as a pediatric speech language pathologist. She utilizes a holistic and neurodiverse affirming approach to ensure the most compassionate and individualized support and care!

She is currently accepting new families and will be located right here @ 26 State Avenue, Carlisle.

💜💙This. Space. 💙💜

Children are natural magicians…they create magic wherever they go! Together with playfully minded adults a space can be provided that feels playful, creative & warm. Within this a sense of belonging takes place! Absolute magic!💜💙

The first time I talked with Cindy and she offered me Beech Street, she said “I created this practice, this building where kids come first.”
A place where they & their families can pull in and instantly feel welcome. Although Cindy is now well into her retirement, that value/ her heart would and still does continue to be the core to Beech Street 💙💜

Last year at this time, December meant we as a practice were in full preparation to move from our official Beech Street address. Closing a chapter on our beautiful & creative teal building with red shutters, purple door and teal awning. The space that Cindy created where kids felt they belonged the second they pulled into our parking lot.

That move wasn’t part of my plan for 2022, nor was leaving that space prematurely part of my plan, but as life has it, circumstances changed and opportunities opened and we moved into our new State Ave address (this space in these photos) the week between Christmas 2022 and New Years 2023.

Leaving our former building/ that space (the very last photo below) wasn’t “easy” - emotionally or physically (to all those who were there with us through that time they can attest- and THANK YOU will never be enough!). It came with a mixed bag of uncertainty, grief, longing, hope and excitement.

And here we are nearly one year later. We still have settling to do, but this cozy space is feeling more like “us.” And while the outward appearance of our new space is quite beautiful and unique (I’ve even had kiddos say it feels like an enormous treehouse 😊) & for that we are grateful, but it’ll never be our teal building, red shutters, purple door, filled with so many memories, but that’s ok.

In this year, we (all of the whole Beech Street family - Ms Sue, Ms Gina, all our families, kiddos and individuals), have been allowing this space to shift and settle and just as kids are natural magicians, each individual who have been and are part of this space have left their own unique magic. 💜💙

Much thanks to each of you! May you always know you are welcome and appreciated here! May this space bring you the same sense of warmth, belonging and community that I feel here 💜💙

WOOT WOOT!!! After 2 weeks (exactly) @ 6am this morning our lovely BSTC space has officially reconnected back “on grid.”

To our property owners, John and Kristen, who pushed and advocated and kept soo many moving parts moving- THANK YOU!!

To all those who we will never meet, that worked tirelessly to ensure our space had the main roof panel shipped and replaced as quickly as possible- THANK YOU!!

To all those in the community who have continued to reach out, check in and offer support- THANK YOU!!

To all those who are part of the Beech Street family and have been right there with us as we stretched our flexibility, patience and creativity these past 2 weeks. Whether we saw you virtually, inside or outside, or if we are still working to get you rescheduled, we appreciate each one of you!!! - THANK YOU!!

And the biggest words of gratitude (!!!!!) to the fantastic team at Beech Street!! To Ms Sue and Ms Gina and your “go with the flow” attitude, focus, updates when I wasn’t there and humor - THANK YOU!!!!

A rainbow does not mean the storm didn’t happen, but it does give a nice dose of hope at a time it’s needed the most!! & last week as we stepped out of our last session, we all got to experience this incredible view…a beautiful reminder of hope that arrived at just the right time!! 💜💙

As some may have already heard, today the neighboring business to Beech Street Therapy Center experienced a devastating fire. Thankfully no one was harmed and with the quick and thorough response from the fire department, the fire was able to be contained and controlled.

At this time the space and contents of Beech Street were untouched by this fire. However we are without power and at this time have uncertainty to a specific time frame when it will be restored. We hope to have more direction and time frame by tomorrow. If you have an upcoming scheduled session (this week or early next week) your individual therapist will be in touch. Our primary goal and focus is on maintaining current continuity of care with as limited treatment interruptions as possible.

Our thoughts are with all those impacted by this fire. As the peacock feather symbolizes protection and renewal we are thankful that everyone is safe and have confidence and hope for the future that time will allow clarity and new beginnings for all impacted. It is with extreme appreciation to the entire Carlisle/ Beech Street community and friends who have reached out with concern and support. We are all forever grateful to your kindness and care. 💜💙
