Come to Maggie’s hips focused nervous system reset and you will:
1. Release Stored Tension
• The hip region is surrounded by large muscles (hip flexors, glutes, pelvic floor) that tend to tighten when you’re stressed or in “fight-or-flight.”
• Releasing this tightness signals safety to the body, shifting the nervous system toward “rest-and-digest.”
2. Support the Vagus Nerve & Relaxation
• Gentle hip stretches, rocking, and breath-coordinated movements can stimulate the vagus nerve.
• This promotes parasympathetic activation—slower heart rate, calmer breathing, and reduced anxiety.
3. Improve Circulation & Energy Flow
• Opening the hips increases blood flow to the lower body, improving lymphatic drainage and circulation.
• This can leave you feeling lighter, more grounded, and less stuck both physically and mentally.
4. Enhance Grounding & Stability
• The hips and pelvis are literally your foundation.
• Grounded hip practices can help you feel more stable, rooted, and secure—counteracting feelings of overwhelm or being “ungrounded.”
5. Release emotions
• Many people carry unprocessed emotions (fear, grief, trauma) in the hips.
• Gentle, mindful movement can help you safely release those emotions, creating more spaciousness and ease.
6. Improve your Breathing
• Tight hip flexors pull on the low back and diaphragm, restricting breath.
• When the hips open, breathing deepens naturally—further calming the nervous system.
