"I tore my ACL and came here for rehab. At first I had trouble with the strength in my knee. Amanda helped and worked me through it, encouraging me the whole way through. She gave me stuff to do at home and overall was amazing! Thank you!"

Thank you so much for coming to see us and sharing about your time here, Debra! πŸ’™

"I experienced a right hip muscle injury where walking became increasingly more painful. After coming to 21st Century Rehab I learned many exercises to strengthen those muscles. Amanda & her student, Cora, taught me how to use those muscles through many exercises & use of adaptive equipment. They were friendly & approachable. The entire staff was professional & helpful."

Concussion Series – Part 2: Signs and Symptoms
Recognizing the signs of a concussion is crucial for early diagnosis and treatment. Symptoms can appear immediately or may be delayed for hours or even days after the injury.
Common Concussion Symptoms:
Headache or pressure in the head
Dizziness or balance problems
Nausea or vomiting
Blurred or double vision
Sensitivity to light or noise
Confusion or feeling mentally foggy
Difficulty concentrating or remembering
Sleep disturbances (sleeping more or less than usual)
Mood changes (irritability, sadness, anxiety)
Feeling slowed down or fatigued
Athletes may also report that they β€œjust don’t feel right.”
If a concussion is suspected, it’s essential to stop activity immediately and be evaluated by a healthcare professional. Continuing to play with a concussion increases the risk of second impact syndrome, a rare but potentially fatal condition.
Physical therapists are trained to perform detailed concussion assessments and can help identify these signs, especially when they are subtle or delayed.

"When I first came to PT I was very limited on what I could do. From doing PT, I was able to feel confident in my ability to move again. It helped me manage my pain and get back to playing sports. My favorite memories from PT were the people here. They always had smiles on their faces and were always very easy to talk to."
