Diamond knives in for repair today: the two KOI freehands contain MICS blades that are chipped. 2.1/2.4mm. (Smaller incision, faster healing, less astigmatism). The micrometer knife has a blade that is damaged beyond repair- a new blade will be installed. The gold angled freehand came in with the 3.0mm lance blade snapped off at the base. The lab will be busy today!

Diamond Knife Repairs: 1.0mm wide lance sideport blades. A series of tiny chips on the facets makes the edge feel dull. The chipped blades will be rehoned. The 3rd knife- blade has been snapped off. A new Econo lancet will be installed.

Diamond knives received for repair. A mixed bag up for lab today. An angled freehand with blade snapped off and a screw missing. We will be installing a new 2.5mm/3.5mm tapered keratome. The black diamond replaced with 2.1mm/2.4 tapered blade. A third angled freehand is jammed tight with debris- houses a 2.5mm/3.5mm blade. The gold handle is a 1mm sideport lance, the blade is chipped along the facets. These knives came in preapproved, and are already in process, which ensures expedited turnaround.

Diamond surgical knives in for repair. The step knife contains a truncated lance with open (non-cutting )side facets. A series of chips can be seen on the cutting edge. The larger keratomes, 2.5mm/3.5mm, have substantial damage. The handles will be cleaned, the diamonds pulled and re-edged.
