Hoffman Funeral and Cremation, Ltd.

Hoffman Funeral and Cremation, Ltd. Hoffman Funeral & Cremation is proud to be of service to the greater Carlisle area for over 114 years. The funeral home boasts high-quality funeral products.

Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory is a family-owned and operated funeral home that has been serving the central Pennsylvania community since 1907. The new facility was built in 2015 to accommodate modern technology and design. The large parking lot, spacious lobby and chapel, and fully accessible facility are some of the perks that come with choosing Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory for your funeral needs. The full-service Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory offers traditional funeral services, cremation, and non-traditional ceremony options. A typical funeral service may include a viewing before the actual funeral and the funeral can be followed by a burial service at the gravesite. The on-site crematory offers direct cremations, which are cremations without a ceremony. Or you can choose cremation with a funeral before the cremation or a memorial service after the cremation. For a casual, less-formal option, a life celebration may be the option for you. Life celebrations may include music, dancing, hobby displays, and a customizable program layout. You can purchase caskets, vaults, memorials, and urns. For options regarding Veteran Services or Military Honors, the funeral home can assist you with either. The funeral planning team knows that grief does not end the moment the funeral ends. Please ask about their grief resources and how they can help you connect with people who are also grieving the loss of a loved one. Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory has been serving Carlisle, Mt Holly Springs, Shermans Dale, New Kingstown, Plainfield, Dickinson, Boiling Springs, Newville, Mechanicsburg, Loysville, and surrounding areas for over 100 years. Their new facility is 12,000 square feet with spacious rooms, including an on-site crematory with a witness room. The funeral home also offers an apprentice program to train up-and-coming students in the funeral industry. If you have an immediate need or would like to get started on pre-need planning services, contact Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory today. The new facility is located at 2020 W Trindle Rd Carlisle, PA 17013. Give them a call to schedule a meeting or a virtual appointment at (717) 243-4511.

Join us in celebrating the life of Jane Donato. Jane received her Masters of Music Education from Penn State University at a time when only 20 percent of the student body were women. Jane began her teaching career in Baltimore, Maryland, and McLean, Virginia. She later taught at Hershey Junior High and High School in Pennsylvania as a choral and orchestra director. It was at Hershey where she met her husband of 57 years, and together they were known by students and friends as the “beautiful musical couple.” She took great pride in organizing dozens of musical performances at the Hershey Theatre during the Christmas season. She enjoyed traveling and listening to her favorite musical performers, including Michael Chance, The Statler Brothers, and classical music, particularly Bach and the Baroque era. She will be deeply missed.

Today we honor the life of Lottie Stine, 68, of Harrisburg. Lottie found joy in the simple things in life. She loved sitting in her chair watching her favorite shows, spending special “girls' days,” and most of all, being surrounded by her grandchildren and loved ones. Those moments meant everything to her. She was known for being loving, caring, and outgoing. Lottie had a heart of gold and would take care of anyone at any time, as long as she was able. Her selflessness and warmth made a lasting impact on everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.
