Montecatini specializes in the comprehensive care of adolescent and adult women struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and associated eating disorders. An eating disorder does not define a woman—it holds her hostage. Located in the beautiful north costal area of San Diego, California, Montecatini is known as a pioneer in the treatment of eating disorder behaviors and co-occurring disorders. Montecatini’s residences offer a safe, structured and nurturing home-like setting for residential, partial and intensive outpatient treatment for adolescent (16 and up) and adult women allowing for the emotional, spiritual, behavioral, and social healing journey to begin. Our patients are in integral partner in the treatment process and participate in all aspects of their care plan, from pre-admission through discharge.

What makes Montecatini different?
This week, we’re shining a spotlight on the heart of our approach — compassionate, evidence-based care designed to support patients at every step of their recovery journey.
At Montecatini, patients benefit from a comprehensive clinical program that includes:
o Daily psychoeducation sessions and therapeutic groups
o Art therapy and yoga
o Animal-assisted interventions with clinician-led support through SoulPaws®
By combining proven treatment methods with expressive and body-centered therapies, we nurture healing of the whole person — mind, body, and spirit.
Recovery is deeply rooted in strong relationships. Whether it’s through family programs that rebuild connections or aftercare support systems that foster trust and communication, these relationships create a foundation for meaningful and lasting healing.
Family involvement is a cornerstone of sustainable recovery.
