Yesterday we headed to Petco Park with 24 incredible kids to watch the San Diego Padres take on the Chicago Cubs—and while the Padres didn’t come away with the win, our families absolutely did.

The day started with a behind-the-scenes tour where connections began forming right away with everyone soaking in the magic of the ballpark. By the time the game started, it felt like one big community.

Heartfelt thanks to The San Diego Padres and Finest Collective for donating tickets to our medically complex families and providing them with a great experience and day full of fun!💛

ConnectMed’s online programs bring peer connection and support directly to our patient community — and closely mirror the in-person experiences we host in San Diego.

Tomorrow, 24 kids (plus a parent!) will head to a full day outing at Petco Park— including the Padres vs. Cubs game ⚾️

On Saturday, our online program will bring a similar experience into families’ homes.

A big part of making that possible? Our Activity Kits - which are thoughtfully curated with program supplies pkus useful resources…such as Now is the Journey, a cleft & craniofacial workbook by Vanessa Acero, who will also join us as a special guest.

ConnectMed is excited to partner with WYLDE Horses in Valley Center to offer a unique and meaningful opportunity for children and families in our community.
Through this collaboration, ConnectMed will cover half the cost of horse riding lessons, making this incredible experience more accessible. 💛

Horseback riding can be powerful for confidence, connection, and overall well-being—and we’re so proud to help bring this opportunity to the families we serve.

Happy birthday to one of our favorite volunteers, and beloved former Camp Cosmos Coordinator, Cashel! 

Many of our families know and love her for bringing such joyful but calming energy to our Camp Cosmos programs - from guiding breathwork in a way kids can understand and engage with to creating spaces for real, meaningful connection.

While we miss seeing her on a daily basis, we are SO proud that she passed her LCSW exam this year and is a shining her light as a Medical Social Worker at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital!

Anyone who knew Glendora felt her energy and joie de vivre—her love of food, fashion, travel, and adventure, and her deep commitment to special education in South San Diego County and speech therapy for children in Mexico with cleft lip and palate.
