Premier Fitness Camp reinstates science, truth and bespoke approaches! It’s so overwhelming to understand health basics when there’s so many new trends out there! Read below for 20 simple take aways from a week at a retreat!

1. You don’t burn fat by eating less, you burn fat by fueling better.
2. Feeling strong changes how you show up better, not just in the gym.
3. Lifetime friendships!
4. There’s many things that measure success other than just the scale.
5. When you learn to love yourself, you take care of yourself.
6. Using mindfulness techniques to connect with my body and my breath resulting in less stress, less anxiety and less depression.
7. Motion is lotion for your joints!
8. Core strength decreases back pain.
9. Chronic stress raises cortisol aka body goes into survival mode aka body holding onto unnecessary weight!
10. Progress, not perfection.
11. Train for the life you want to live!
12. Consistency is key! You are training for life and longevity!
13. Adding veggies to meat dishes increases nutrition and flavor!!!
14. What to add to your food to increase the benefits! For example: spinach is a good source of iron but adding lemon juice releases the chemicals to more nutritional benefits!
15. Always top snack food with h**p, flax and chia seeds for added protein and fiber!
16. Lentils, quinoa, tofu or edamame are incredible, plant based sources of protein!
17. Often your nervous system makes your habits and choices, not your willpower.
18. Food, scrolling and alcohol are the most used distractions to regulate emotions. You’re not weak! You’re self soothing!
19. “Somatic therapy” finding one physical act a day that heightens senses and brings awareness to the body and self.
20. Truly understanding what kind of meals you should make before and after certain work outs.
