Still integrating and pinching myself after the past few days of a long time dream come true writing retreat in SoCal.

Every time I’ve invested into an experience for myself surrounded by other brilliant women, I am forever changed.

Making space to get creative, explore myself deeper, and share stories with other women is one of the greatest blessings.

Thank you for holding space and making all my writing dreams come true.

The irony of this post is that, although I truly believe every word and practice it in my own life, I thought about not posting it in case it might trigger someone else.

But I only speak from my lived experience and all the work I’ve put in over the last 10 + years to feel more like me every day.

The best news is that we get to define what living well means to us.

Maybe it’s in the quiet moments to yourself or in the chaos of raising kids. The perfect cup of coffee or a song that speaks to your soul.

When we stop measuring our happiness by the standards of other people, we start creating a life that reflects what truly makes us happy.

I hope you find the joy that lives within you, not outside of you.

When someone tells me they have nothing to fill in the blank, it hits too close to home because just this week, I was facing a lot of self-doubt and unworthiness, despite all the GOOD that was happening in my life.

All of us go through our dark nights of the soul where we really struggle to love ourselves for exactly who we are.

But you are worthy because you exist if for nothing else.

Today see if you could find one thing to root into even if it’s something as simple as your eyelashes, the way you show love, or your ability to wake up and do what you do every day.

Connect with that beauty, that child inside who wanted love and affection and maybe didn’t get that need met. You are the only one who can fill that space with love- and then watch how even more love comes into your life from the most unexpected places.

You are worthy because you exist Period.

And know that if you’re struggling to find that today, it won’t last forever. All is temporary. This too shall pass 🙏🏼
