Birth is the ultimate lesson in letting go. 🤍

You can plan, you can visualize, but ultimately, you have to surrender to the process. And when you’re in that raw, primal state—completely unraveling—you need people who won’t try to “fix” you or panic.

You need the people who know how to hold space for your power.

Your birth team isn’t just about medical expertise; it’s about emotional safety. It’s the hand that holds yours when you feel like you’re breaking so you know you’re actually building yourself back up.

As I talked to one of my oldest friends today I was reminded of how important life group is.

It reminded me of each week I’d get with this friend and sit on our couches, sharing how we’ve both just barely getting by.

How we could vent, cry, laugh - where we could be us.

Where we didn’t have to shower.

We didn’t have it all together.

We could just show up and leave filled up, encouraged and ready to keep going.

I love life group where we listen to and then we get together and we discuss how it shows up for us.

Where we dig deeper into who God is and how God is using us.

In a safe, well loved space.

It’s a coming home, a blooming.

My doula beginning

My doula passion was ignited in 2010 and is to equip and empower women to achieve the pregnancy, birth experience and postpartum recovery of each client's dream, through endorsement of an individualized care plan approach. I serve the San Diego area and tailor care to promote the well being of the mother, baby, and birth partner throughout the birthing process by providing perspective and encouragement before, during, and after birth.

My goal as your doula is to encourage you; to remind you that your body was made to give birth and that you are capable of it; to lift your spirits up when you're feeling overwhelmed; to encourage movement and position changes to help labor progress and help it be less painful; to answer any questions you have about procedures or medications; but most of all, to allow you every opportunity to achieve the birth you've dreamed of.
