We would like to introduce Drs. Johnathon Mendoza and Bruna De Goveia to our staff. Along with Dr. McCauley they will be providing excellent care to our patients at the same location under a new name, Carlsbad Dental. We are currently accepting new patients and we accept all insurances (out of network) except Medicaid and Medicare. Thank you for your continued confidence in our doctors and staff.

To clarify some information Dr. McCauley is NOT retiring. He has scaled back his work week to Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. He is still here to serve his patients needs. At this time we are not taking new patients so that he may continue to care for his patients in a timely manner as much as possible. We thank you for confidence in Dr. McCauley and his staff.

CONCERNING DELTA DENTAL INSURANCE COMPANIES.

To Our Patients

As of August 4, 2024 we will no longer be in Network with Delta Dental.

There has been a significant increase in Dental Supplies and Lab fees since COVID. Unfortunately Delta Dental has not seen the necessity to increase inurance payments to Dental Providers, while insurance premiums have increased for our insured patients.

We will continue to treat and care for our patients and insurance forms will be submitted. The only change will be that we will "not adjust" the difference in what insurance pays and what we charge for services. We are not increasing our Dental Fees.

The dental health of our patients is very important to us. Unfortunately we have had a change in our schedule. Elaine Byers is leaving our practice to move to Texas. She has recently had her 1st grandchild and would like to move closer. Patty Boatenhamer is now part-time, working two days a week instead of four. These changes will create a change in how we can schedule. Our office is actively involved in recruiting an additional hygienist. Therefore
we will be very restricted in scheduling for cleanings. We hope to resolve this as quickly as possible. This situation does not affect Dr. McCauley's schedule. Any questions you may have call the office at 575-887-7594. Thank you
