2016!!! Love this trend. A lot has happened in 10 years. Makes me sad and happy at the same time. The beginning of 2016 had us living in Japan, and preparing to move back to the states (San Diego) after 3 1/2 years abroad! We had an almost 2 year old), I had been a yoga teacher for 1 year (many of my first students were marines!!), and Stephen was active duty. My mom and dad were still living in Florida, the state that was my home too before Japan. I was running and training for races so much in these days. Takes me back to such a sweet time our lives.

I love where we are at now, but I loved those days too! My heart will always be torn between Japan, FL, and CA…. I always feel the most alive when I go for a run, and our girl still loves gymnastics as much as she did when she was a baby, if not more… we’ve been in our house now 4 years, the longest we’ve lived anywhere. Stephen starts his next career this month, and later this spring marks 11 years for me teaching yoga💓💞

What a beautiful 10 years it has been.

Reminder that there is no one way, no one size fits all to grow strength!! Give yourself permission to feel strong in the unique ways that YOU love to move. And of course, move your body every day!!💪

Many of my clients are working to refine transitions in their practice. Here is a common yoga transition often called “taking a vinyasa” in a yoga class. In my last reel I shared how important each and every pose is in a yoga practice, transitions or held. So here in this brief tutorial I’m sharing the postures that when linked together with proper alignment and pauses create a strength building, common transition to almost every yoga practice. Next time you practice give each of these poses more intention, don’t rush them, you will grow stronger this way too!💪

Plateaus don’t mean you’re “doing” yoga wrong.
They usually mean you’ve outgrown the container.

When your body adapts, your practice needs to adapt too.

Happy 2026!!! I’m a new years hype girl 10/10….I love the ritual of a new year — the vision boards, the goals, the fresh energy.

BUT I’m never chasing a “new year, new you” vibe. I’m honoring the woman I’ve been, the lessons I’ve learned, and letting that wisdom guide me forward.
Growth, not replacement. Evolution, not erasure.

Cheers to all the opportunities and potential of 2026🎉🥳 May your new year be filled with love and light💫⭐️

Day 5, Norway
Our last day here, spent wandering the streets of Bergen sampling local foods, shopping, and admiring the colorful wooden houses that line the streets of central Bergen.

We especially enjoyed the Hagelin Sisters famous fish cakes and brunch at the Opera Cafe. I am coming home with lots of Norwegian crackers, lingonberry jam, and if I could bring salmon back I would😂🇳🇴

Day 4, Norway
We spent the day exploring Sognefjord, based from the port village of Flam where we had stayed for 1 night. This fjord is one of the deepest in the world, 3xs the height of Eiffel Tower, at the deepest points. We cruised the fjord to a Viking village, Gudvangen. We were able to visit with Viking people (not actors), but real people living as Vikings today.

Back in Flam we headed to Stegastein (a viewing platform over the fjords). Here you are 650 meters above sea level, that is a little more than 200 meters taller than the top of the Empire State Building!!

Back by train to Bergen for one last day in Norway🇳🇴

Norway, Day 3 We took the historic train from Bergen to Flam… I tried but the pics hardly due the scenery justice! Breathtaking landscape! Such an adventure. In Flam we found such a sweet port village. More breathtaking views, a floating sauna (we plunged in the fjord too), and a quaint Viking vibes brewery. Staying 1 night here at an old manor turned hotel.
