Yoga By Laurie Yoga+Fitness+Mindful Eating Welcome to Yoga By Laurie. She completed her teacher training in Okinawa, Japan with Rebecca Cohen. Petersburg, Florida.

Laurie Borrett is a fitness enthusiast, avid runner, an ACE certified Health Coach, as well as a registered yoga teacher at the RYT200 hour level. She is also certified in Yoga on a Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP Yoga), and completed that training with the Yoga Energy Studio in St. She holds a Master of Arts in Education, and ten years classroom teaching experience. She has been practicing various styles of yoga since 2010. Her style is influenced the most by Bikram, Vinyasa, and Iyengar. Laurie relies on her fitness background to teach a challenging and fun class for all levels. She loves yoga because it is an art form: intense as it is relaxing, gentle as it is strong, and healing as it is building. Her classes are flow style, and focus on a combination of cleansing breath technique & asana to build strength and increase flexibility.

First week of March in the books!! Currently looking forward to an early bedtime and Lucky Charms Rice Krispies that Olive and I made for a Friday treat.

So much going on this week! Stephen is training away between ATL and Phoenix with Delta. While he’s gone we’re just 4 girls working out all day and enjoying the sunshine. Beach to desert, gymnastics comps, school play, home decor updates. the best lentils I’ve ever made (recipe includes sundried tomatoes), a moon like I’ve never seen before, golden retriever spam… basically sums it up😜

This is the kind of simplicity that recalibrates me. If it’s been awhile, I’ll start to crave it… crave getting into the kitchen and creating with my own two hands and imagination. My own kind of art and therapy = bread baking.

Not perfection.
Just intentional living, practiced daily.

The urge to move differently, to create something, to defy gravity, and the daily challenge of keeping your head out of the clouds. Let’s practice handstands!!, it will be fun they said… And now she’s hooked and can’t stop😍 I love this practice so much!! Losing myself in the reps. Refining again and again. Feeling the body from a different perspective. The focus and determination. Grateful for all of it. 🤸🏼‍♀️🤸🏼‍♀️

No one…. Me: January training log in a reel❄️☃️🤸🏼‍♀️

Has been such a solid month of training. Still chasing a 30 second straight hold (so close)… but growing ever stronger in various entries, tried stalder eccentric for first time this month FUN, getting steadier with shape changing, almost pressing from 1 step now. Excited to see where this year takes me upside down. 💪🫶 thank you to my super patient coach
