The poppyseed filling was everything. So easy to sub in this filling instead of cinnamon roll filling. I used 2 jars of poppyseeds a bit of sugar and melted butter… painted it on and rolled + cut the rolls🖤

Tomorrow is 💙💛🦄 Throwback to 2018 my one and only Boston marathon (so far)😉

Anyone will tell you the weather was horrible that year, and I will always be proud of the courage it took to reach for this goal and finish the race… all while training with a 3 year old and a husband who was deployed… BUT more than that feeling I will always remember the joy and support from my family, best friend, Jolene coming out and the run club friends that I feel bonded with over so many miles, no matter the various directions and turns life has taken from that point. That is what the Boston marathon means to me… courage, support, love, joy.. proof you can do HARD things. And 2018 Boston envoked a long lasting PTSD for me wanting to do another marathon😂

I was runner for so many decades, has been good in my 40s to hit pause, but I have a feeling I will run distance again one day.

11 years of teaching yoga!! I never imagined the joy or the journey sharing this practice would bring.

2015, while living in Japan, on maternity leave from teaching school, I had the opportunity for my first 200 hour TT. It had been a bucket list goal for some years. As I adjusted to motherhood, I remember feeling so excited to put energy into a passion all my own, and learned much more than I imagined. Literally with that initial training igniting a spark and a path I wasn’t expecting! This yoga journey of mine has spanned states and countries…studios, corporate offices, military base gyms, zoom (presently teaching privates M-F here), public parks and beaches… teaching my heart out and growing all along the way through our various moves. Now I have well over 1,000 hours of training and almost 2,000 hours of teaching. It has always been and remains to be a blessing in my life to share what I know about yoga as a subject, a philosophy, a medicine, as postures, anatomy… all feels like a drop in the bucket… but my knowledge is expanding, as does my sharing with each passing year. Thank you for allowing me pass along my love of this beautiful practice. And to my students past and present my hope is always, always that I have helped you if even in some small way to grow your practice, or at least plant a seed of curiosity. Cheers to the next 11 years of teaching.

A mingle of present and nostalgia on my camera roll.
🌱💐Springtime has me feeling open and ready for what is next!!! Some closure happening for Stephen’s Delta training phase… finally! He was home for 4 days in a row… the most he’s been home since mid Feb. Our baby is growing up. Old pics of her earliest gymnastic days when she was a toddler, and the 6th grade recognition ad for yearbook😢

Meanwhile the yoga, handstands, and bread don’t stop!!

Priorities —> real food, protein, fiber, antioxidant and nutrient rich foods, plus healthy fats, and gut wellness👌 Prioritize all of that and you get for “free” anti-inflammatory, cholesterol lowering, mineral rich, disease fighting fuel your body will thrive on. 🤗

I love variety in my diet, but a couple non-negotiables for my personal health goals… I include these daily: matcha, fish, iron rich foods, + foods that support a healthy gut biome.

Yes it’s a boring reel of me just holding on for dear life in handstand in our messy garage. But it gets a space here because I finally busted through 30 second mark in my freestanding hold🤸‍♀️It is the most amazing feeling to reach such a huge handstand goal, one I’ve been chasing for what feels like forever. Can’t wait for the 1 minute next!!!🤸‍♀️💖

Thank you to my ever patient, and encouraging coach and the People on Hands group, always pushing me to level up!!

Strength can look like lifting heavy🏋️.
OR it can look like staying long enough to feel the exact point of engagement—the moment your focus sharpens, distractions fall away.

When your practice and your strength sync up!!!

Right now I’m in a season of being drawn to poses that demand strength and precision, requiring absolute presence. This is maybe my favorite season of all in my practice.

Not for the poses I’ve unlocked but for the ability to find a flow state as I never have before in yoga. When I practice like this time falls away, and it is just focus, breath, muscle and bone. This is the rhythm my body moves in now, and it’s made me stronger than ever. And yes I do lift weights and practice reformer Pilates too, Love all the ways to move.

✨✨✨If you’re ready to build a practice that deepens focus, ignites strength, and transforms how your body moves, let’s create it together. DM me to get started.
