The relationship between cancer and glucose in the blood stream:
Cancer cells can utilize glucose in the blood stream with priority over other cells. Cancer cells will steal nutrients from the blood stream before other cells can get them, because cancer cells have 16 times the number of insulin and insulin-like receptors of a healthy cell. This voracious appetite of cancer cells explains why a tumor in an advanced cancer patient continues to grow while the patient becomes weaker and wastes away. Cancer cells also have amazing self-protection against toxins, so standard chemotherapy must be in a quantity large enough to pe*****te the resistant cancer cell. Healthy cells, which aren't as resistant to toxins, can be negatively affected by the large doses of standard chemotherapy.
