This Scoliosis Awareness Month, we want to share Bridget’s story, a remarkable 13-year-old from Louisville, KY, whose determination is truly inspiring. Despite facing scoliosis, with a 68-degree curvature in her spine, Briget refused to let it dampen her passion for dance.
With unwavering support from her family and the skilled team at Norton Children’s Hospital, Bridget underwent a transformative surgery with the 7D FLASH Navigation System™, a first in the state.
Thanks to the precision provided by the 7D FLASH Navigation System, Dr. Kent Walker was able to achieve strong fixation and avoided expanding the construct, ensuring Bridget retained her mobility.
WDRB-TV recently featured Bridget’s inspiring journey, showcasing the power of resilience and the impact of innovative medical technology. Watch the story below to discover how the 7D FLASH Navigation System played a crucial role in Bridget’s intraoperative care, paving the way for her remarkable recovery and allowing her to continue pursuing her love for dance.
On April 16, dressed in her Taylor Swift T-shirt and pants, Bridget was "ready for it."
