Time to break out the barbeque and grill some steaks. Huge shout-out to BioMicrobics for sending OMI not 2, but 4 10oz boneless Kansas City Strip Steaks. But wait, there's more! Steak seasoning and the guide to great steaks book.

The note reads "Remembering our distributors on Memorial Day. Thank you for your continued support."

We here at OMI are grateful.

LIGHTNING STRIKE HITS TOILET: Okmulgee (Oklahoma) fire crews say they had a bizarre lightning strike call at the Oxford Apartments overnight. They say the lightning came through the vent in the roof and struck the toilet, shattering it.
Nobody lives in that unit, but crews tell me they were told it was supposed to be rented out this morning. They say they’ve never seen a call like this one!
You could even say that would be a really crappy way to go out.. :)

Brinnon Fire Department
April 19, 3:00 pm
Brinnon Fire Department and Quilcene Fire Rescue responded to the top of Mt. Walker near the north parking lot. Initial reports that a female in her 40s fell into a vault toilet.
The patient states while using the toilet, she dropped her cell phone down into the vault.
She then attempted to dismantle the toilet and retrieve it. After disassembling the seat and housing, she used her dog's leash to try fishing it out.
Eventually, she took the leashes to help support herself, which failed, and she slid into and fell into the vault head first.
After 15-20 minutes of attempting to get out, she used her phone to call 911.
Brinnon FD Rescue 41 and Quilcene F&R Aid 21 responded to the mountain top.
Upon arrival, they found the woman as described.
The crews made a makeshift cribbing platform by passing them down to the patient.
After making it tall enough for her to stand on, the crew pulled the victim to safety.
The patient states she was uninjured and requested no transport.
The patient was washed down and given a Tyvek suit to wear.
Pt. was strongly encouraged to seek medical attention after being exposed to human waste, but she only wanted to leave.
She thanked the responders and continued her journey back to California.
The patient was extremely fortunate not to be overcome by toxic gases or sustain injury.

One of our local non-profits, the Sequim Prairie Grange, is in need! They have been fundraising for over 2 years, for a new roof and just last November, had their furnace go out. OMI has donated a raffle item, to help raise some funds. The raffle is for a septic pumping service. This is a $500.00 value. As OMI will pump up to 1,250 gallons. (In the Sequim/Port Angeles area.) The raffle tickets are $10.00 each. The winner’s name will be drawn on 6/30/2022. We will call you and post the winner on the Sequim Prairie Grange #1108 page.
Would you like to help this worthy non-profit? Call the OMI office at 360-457-9438 or email us at John_omi@msn.com

Riddle me this..."how do you get a square lid out of a round hole?"
Answer: Hammer time!
Lesson: Do not install a round riser over a square cement lid. Now this can be done, but not until you round the corners of the cement lid. And this is where the hammer comes in, break those corner off.
