We just received this 5-star review from a family we recently served. This is what funeral service is all about: helping people celebrate and honor their loved ones. Thank you
Banthia for your kind words.

We had an excellent experience with ARN and specifically David Dwyer, the funeral director. The grace, compassion and thoughtfulness of David and the team was evident EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. My grandmother passed on New Year's Day and David was able to accommodate a cremation service the very next day. He and the team thought of everything - down to the fact that in our culture we open the shoes for the prayer service, the fact that we would need fresh rose petals for the ceremony, sari pins to tie the final sari on her body, thank you notes to send, a copy of the video montage, cameras so internationally people could view the body properly as well as view the ceremony, excellent sound AV quality, beautiful fresh flowers in the room, water bottles for guests to stay hydrated, the list goes on. And always with deep compassion and understanding of the family grief. David even went out of his way to spend time with the Hindu Temple to better understand cultural customs and norms to be better prepared. Everything was perfect and beautiful and well explained. We were not prepared for the passing and in trying to find a funeral home we called several places. One of the places we called was Flanner Buchanan who actually called the cops and sent them to our home without asking. That was so unprofessional. But we are very lucky that we found and were connected to ARN. I would recommend them to everyone looking for a well run, beautfully upkept and professional team to work with. I would never go anywhere else and will tell all of our friends as well.

Calling Members for the Chevra Kaddisha

The Chevra Kaddisha—literally the “Holy Society”—performs one of the most sacred mitzvot in Jewish life: caring for the deceased with dignity, modesty, and deep respect through taharah, the traditional ritual preparation for burial. This act of chesed shel emet (true loving-kindness) is considered among the highest mitzvot, as it is given with no expectation of return.

We are seeking compassionate, committed members of our community who feel called to participate in this meaningful and timeless service. Training is provided, and volunteers serve in a quiet, respectful, and supportive environment.

This sacred work is carried out in partnership with Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Funeral Home, which has served Indiana’s Jewish community for over 90 years and remains the only Jewish funeral home in the state. Together, we ensure that Jewish traditions are honored with care, integrity, and reverence at life’s most tender moments.

If you feel drawn to this profound act of service, we invite you to learn more about joining the Chevra Kaddisha by calling
