On this 4th of July, we remember and are grateful for the sacrifices made by the men and women of our military.

If you are an Indiana Veteran and have been diagnosed with service-related PTSD and/or mild-to-moderate traumatic brain injury (TBI), you may qualify for zero cost hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments through the State’s HBOT Pilot Program. HBOT treats emotional symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and suicidality; it also treats physical symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, poor sleep, and pain. Patients typically report profound improvements in their symptoms and improved quality of life after receiving HBOT.

This patient consulted us for hyperbaric oxygen therapy prior to her upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). We prescribed the protocol established by clinical studies: two sessions just before surgery and three post-op sessions, with the goal of helping her heal quickly and reduce post-op pain, bruising and swelling.

The pictures tell the story! She was very swollen right after surgery but showed dramatic improvement after just one post-op HBOT session. This isn’t unusual, we see it all the time!
