When Trenin first began care at Empowered Origins, his parents were searching for support in several areas. He was struggling with balance and coordination, behavioral challenges, frequent hitting, bedwetting, constant colds, allergies, poor sleep, and big emotional reactions.

Communication was also difficult, and day-to-day life often felt overwhelming for him. With a twin brother who also has Down syndrome, mom and dad already had a good understanding of how important a well-balanced nervous system is โ€” and they wanted to give Trenin every opportunity to thrive as he was the one who was struggling the most.

Since Trenin has started neurologically focused chiropractic care, his nervous system has gradually started to settle, connect, and regulate more efficiently. Week by week, his parents have noticed encouraging shifts that build on each other.

Now, Trenin is showing meaningful improvements in his coordination and balance, and his behavior has become more regulated with far less hitting. One of the biggest changes has been in his communication โ€” his ability to express himself has taken off, opening up a whole new level of connection and ease for the family! The Clark familyโ€™s journey with Empowered Origins began years ago with their daughter. She was struggling with some sensory challenges, her nervous system seemed easily overwhelmed, and mom wanted to find a way to support her body from the inside out rather than simply managing behaviors.

As she began neurologically focused chiropractic care, Mom started to see the impact that nervous system regulation could have on daily life. With those changes came a deeper understanding of how foundational nervous system based care truly is.

Because of that, her two boys eventually began care as well. Mom didnโ€™t want to wait for problems to arise โ€” she wanted all of her children to have the same opportunity to grow, adapt, and thrive with a well-balanced nervous system!
